Heyfield Traders & Tourism Association will be conducting the fifth ‘Great Victorian Camp Oven Festival’ over the weekend of March 23-25, 2012 at Wallaby Rise Bush Restaurant and Caravan Park, Glenmaggie.
The event is held to raise the awareness of Heyfield as the ‘Gateway to the Victorian Alps’ and to benefit the local community. Our aim is to grow the festival and to attract visitors from various locations within Victoria and interstate
The venue change to Wallaby Rise Caravan Park has proven very successful for the Great Victorian Camp Oven Festival as the location is ideally suited to enjoying camping and outdoor cooking activities.
This years festival will include food and wine tastings, camp oven cooking competitions, a ‘meet and greet’ camp oven cooked meal on Friday night, activities for children and adults, camping related displays, bush poetry and music to entertain us during the festival
Camping is available at Wallaby Rise Caravan Park. Camping fee is $10 per person per night. Children free. No power available (campers can bring own generators).
Toilets & showers provided.
Or for those who are self contained, free camping is available at the Heyfield RV Rest Stop, cnr Macfarlane and Clark Streets, Heyfield.
